11/03/2003: "Letters: US Minister Recommends Lobbying and Hope for Change"
I am a minister living in the U.S. I am often amazed at the things people label as the devil. My teen years were spent in the 70's and people are amazed that I haven't personally experienced the "pot high". While I am not critical of pot in and of itself, the legal issues do concern me. Our justice system tends to often be a "just is" system and ranking 1oz of pot possesion in Virginia a felony equal to child abuse. Now for the life of me I do not understand this. My recomendation is for people to lobby and hope to change the system from within. This is an issue that is FULL of controversy, but I hope that people will at some point research this with open minds and look for the true facts. It is the truth of any issue that will set you free not demonizing everything that is not understood. God is so much bigger that the box we try to confine him to.

I am pleased to hear G. Thompson's words.
There are only 2 kinds of people in the world: Obedient Christians & disobedient Christians.
It seem that although We only just met, You pass the litmus test on the very 1st page of the Bible.
I am afraid, most clergy would not pass tha litmus test on the very 1st page of the Bible and thus would not be eligable to receive the "spirit of truth" mentioned in John 14-16. (You can not love Your brother and cage Him for using plants that He created and said were all good)
It points out the need for clergy as Yourself, G. Thompson, to write to fellow clergy... making sure clergy gets on the right page...
Disobedient Christians such as clergy that support the cannabis prohibition may be directly addressed in Malachi (the last book of the Old) 1:6-14.

12 "But you are profaning it, in that you say, 'The table of the Lord is defiled, and as for its fruit, its food is to be despised.'
13 "You also say, 'My, how tiresome it is!' And you disdainfully sniff at it," says the LORD of hosts, "and you bring what was taken by robbery and what is lame or sick; so you bring the offering! Should I receive that from your hand?" says the LORD.

Well said - a cage it is, attacked it is, violence it is and brutal fascism being propagated by people who claim to follow Christ. Are they liars or just so blind? God have mercy on all of us!

I am 50 years old. Got hurt Dec. 2nd 1995. I have too many disabling problems to mention and can't sir that long either. After eight years of terrible and life alterring pain , my twomain doctors said if we didn't live in Kansas they would let me have Medical Cannabis. I was a Conductor for a major rail road and they are the ones that hurt me and proven to be 100 % their fault. Anyway I am taking % 10Mgs. Methadone, 4 10Mgs. Valium, and 800Mgs. of Fentnyl suckers when needed ( often) just to have 10% normal life and that's an everyday medication use. I forgot about Cannabis since my youth of experimenting. Can'y use any drugs while railroading and that's just common sense and life or death decision. I've tried Cannabis again after my doctor's comments. I know I could get off some or all the prescribed , mind,soul,and body killing drugs if I was able to smoke for MEDICAL reasons. Many uneducated people say , but it is so strong now days. GOOD!!! That nmeans I won't have to inhale as much or have as much in my lungs as it takes less and it lasts longer so it costs me less. DUH ! Which is worse the pills that are slowly killing me or something that my LORD and SAVIOR put here for man's use as said in the book of life. In God I trust , Faryle Sheets P.S. PLEASE pray for me and my new disabled young Children & Wife, because of me !!!
