"Thank you for spreading the truth. I was born and raised a Catholic and always taught the general public opinion that pot is bad. When I started to smoke pot my opinion was quickly changed. All the lies that I had been told by the adults in my life were revealed to me. Instead of destroying my relationship with god (like many adults had told me it would) it strengthened it and actually gave me the courage to express my beliefs and spread the good word. Keep up the work of God, free the weed we shall prevail."

Dangers of Cannabis

The DEA's Administrative Law Judge, Francis Young concluded: "In strict medical terms marijuana is far safer than many foods we commonly consume. For example, eating 10 raw potatoes can result in a toxic response. By comparison, it is physically impossible to eat enough marijuana to induce death. Marijuana in its natural form is one of the safest therapeutically active substances known to man. By any measure of rational analysis marijuana can be safely used within the supervised routine of medical care.:

Editorial: Family Research Council's 'Victory' in Supreme Court Ruling on Medical Marijuana
by j. wallace, editor

"If it walks like a duck and talks like a duck, it probably is a duck. If it does not walk like a duck or talk like a duck, it probably isn't a duck."
What exactly is FRC?

As the Family Research Council boasts another victory in the recent Supreme Court ruling against Oakland Cannabis Buyers Cooperative on the issue of medicinal marijuana, let us examine closer at what all the boasting is about. "The medical marijuana lobby is nothing more than a front for the drug legalization movement, Family Research Councils Vice President for Policy Robert Maginnis said Monday. Todays unanimous Supreme Court decision is a major strike against legalizers crusade to skirt federal drug laws. Bypassing Mr. Maginnis' first comment momentarily, we are to understand that it is FRC's understanding, by the Supreme Court's decision to rule against the buyer's cooperative that it is a major setback for legalizers.
Not exactly.
"Although the Supreme Court has ruled that the medical necessity defense cannot be used to avoid a federal conviction for marijuana, a state government may still allow its residents to possess, grow, or distribute medical marijuana," said Chuck Thomas, director of communications for the Marijuana Policy Project, which coordinates efforts to pass medical marijuana bills in state legislatures. MPP also submitted an amicus brief in the Oakland case. While FRC gloats over its victory it can easily be viewed as a shallow victory at best. Compensation for those that had hoped for a different ruling can be gleaned from the fact that this case shed some much needed light on the issue of medicinal marijuana. Going back to Mr. Maginnis' first comment in the FRC Press Release pertaining to the OCBC case - "The medical marijuana lobby is nothing more than a front for the drug legalization movement,. To disregard the thousands of suffering patients that have found relief only in the consumption of the God created, seed-bearing plant we call marijuana is blindly judgmental. This, coming from a representative of an organization that has dedicated itself to upholding Judeo Christian principles. Judging is not a Christian principle, for where you find judgment, you will find a lack of love, mercy and compassion which is what Christians are commanded to give to not only to the sick and dying but everyone else as well. For where you find love, mercy and compassion, you will find Jesus. Where you find judgment, you won't find Jesus. Leaving one to wonder what principles and who's agenda the Family Research Council is actually upholding. Christian beware...

Luke 6 1. One Sabbath Jesus was going through the grainfields, and his disciples began to pick some heads of grain, rub them in their hands and eat the kernels. 2 Some of the Pharisees asked, "Why are you doing what is unlawful on the Sabbath?" 3 Jesus answered them, "Have you never read what David did when he and his companions were hungry? 4 He entered the house of God, and taking the consecrated bread, he ate what is lawful only for priests to eat. And he also gave some to his companions." 5 Then Jesus said to them, "The Son of Man is Lord of the Sabbath." 6 On another Sabbath he went into the synagogue and was teaching, and a man was there whose right hand was shriveled. 7 The Pharisees and the teachers of the law were looking for a reason to accuse Jesus, so they watched him closely to see if he would heal on the Sabbath. 8 But Jesus knew what they were thinking and said to the man with the shriveled hand, "Get up and stand in front of everyone." So he got up and stood there. 9 Then Jesus said to them, "I ask you, which is lawful on the Sabbath: to do good or to do evil, to save life or to destroy it?" 10 He looked around at them all, and then said to the man, "Stretch out your hand." He did so, and his hand was completely restored. 11 But they were furious and began to discuss with one another what they might do to Jesus. 12 One of those days Jesus went out to a mountainside to pray, and spent
